Calendar of memories

These are some things that make you realize that 1 year has come and gone. And it is these kinda things that makes you see that 1 year doesn’t necessarily need to be made up of January till December.
Rather, it can be measured by the ups and downs, laughter and seriousness that has been filling up the clubroom, and participation in events such as the Year 1 camp and the NYAA Expedition and Residential.
It was 1 year ago that the Organisation Chart reads as follows:

And 1 year later, it quickly changed to a whole new set of people filling up the same old Chart…

It was such a pity that I couldn’t attend my club’s handover ceremony yesterday due to work internship commitments. But I heard that everything went ay-okay and I needed just that to put my heart to ease.
Since I didn’t have the chance to attend the ceremony, or shook the hands of my successor, or talk to the new Main Comm people, the closest experience of a handover ceremony was when I passed Mike my medal and relevant club keys last Wednesday.
I never thought I’d be in the Chart, but when I found myself there I just couldn’t give a pessimistic view about it right? Sure enough, sacrifices had to be made but the returns were aplenty such as my unforgettable trip to Redang. But sometimes a smile or simple thank-you was all that was needed to make my efforts worthwhile.
Without the constant support of my Main Comm, friends and Babe, I don’t think I can look back at the past 1 year and smile to myself.
As for now, life goes on. My next milestone will be the completion of my internship. After which I’ll see which path of life I shall put my foot into while waiting for my enlistment.
Life is all about choices. Don’t follow successful people, create your own success.

Clap clap clap. Well said, Fitri. A lot of memories and feeling.
Wei Keong, if you remember who he is, did a pretty good job doing up the signboard. It’s very much nicer than before.
Just 6 more weeks. Hang in there!!
I shall step down contented next year.
I’ll look back at yesterday a year from now and smile to myself.
