The ball is freaking round can?

For the past two days, I have been secretly praying that Scotland will qualify for the Euros and England to be knocked out of it. I didn’t tell anyone or mention it anywhere except for in my brain because I very pantang (read: taboo) about it.
But the tale of two nations was practically summed up in two extra times. Scotland was cruelly knocked out of the cup with an extra time winner from Christian Panucci. They really should have won against Georgia to ensure their qualification but credit to them for their fighting spirit throughout the competition.
England? Well, they didn’t play a match yesterday but an extra time winner by Omer Golan gave Israel a 2-1 victory against Russia. The situation is: Russia need to win to effectively knock England out but instead they lost, giving England a chance to qualify.
In the world of Ronaldos, Beckhams and Owens, you may ask Christian who? Omer who? My sentiments exactly.
So Scotland, who put up a brave fight towards the end of its qualifying games, are knocked out and England, who literally rode its luck all the way, and still is, has a chance to qualify should they win against Croatia in their final game.
Since my taboo practice did not work, I decided break it at least for one last shot, by making a statement:
CROATIA! FOR THE GOOD OF FOOTBALL, PLEASE BEAT ENGLAND IN THE FINAL GAME!
I’ve been watching English football since young. I think every soccer fanatic here has. It is even more well supported than out own local league. And based on that ‘loads of experience’ that I have, I feel that English football needs to be given a HUGE wake up call. Their national team is made up of players who earn 70,000 to 100,000 Euros a week and they’re struggling to win any honours at the international level.
That’s more than what our Mums and Dads earn in a year! And look at what our parents have achieved! Aren’t you proud of them? Which is exactly why I am disgusted by the English players! Highly (0ver)paid with no substance to show. Pfft.
For that, I hope England doesn’t qualify. Really.
But somehow, I have an inkling that England will snatch a win. With a stroke of luck.
Oh c’mon, give me something new…

if its the same player … i used to buy christian panucci everytime in my CM game
he’s a veteran, reliable player
yeah.. he’s from AS Roma. I’m just irked by the fact that these nobodies help/spoil england have a chance/ scotland’s chance of qualification.
I can’t even call them unsung heroes….
I think if the English players played with as much heart and passion as the Scots we would have qualified long ago!
Funny that.. i had the same dream.. but mine is coming true.. CMON ENGLAND!!
Its kinda SAD that the Jocks, and Taffs feel so insecure about their own countries, i know that we, England, have had our differences with the scots in the past, but isnt it time you got over them.. wasnt it at the last world cup a 7 year old boy was badly beaten by teens and men in scotland for wearing an England shirt?
It a good job we are civilised here in England.
Grow up you uneducated dweeb!!
