So many things happened this week and I think I need to push the ‘STOP’ button myself to bring life to a halt! Trust me, I managed to learn Event Management in just 2 days. Now talk about a crash course to me here.
Last Monday was Babe’s birthday and that ass finally turn 19. Hah! She’s older than me! Technically speaking.. only for a few days ’cause I’ll be of the same age real soon. Really, really soon. I had surprises planned for her, which very nearly didn’t make the cut due to time constraint. But… let’s just say everything went smoothly.

POC was surprise no. 1 but it very nearly became a bad one. Blame the storyline for the first hour of the show lah! It was damn dry that I nearly fell asleep at some times. Lucky for the romance and battle scenes towards the end. If not for them, I would have regretted not going for a chick-flick.
But naahhh… Keira Knightly is one hell of a chick too. So no regrets. Heheheh.
By the time the show ended, it was already 9pm! OMG(00dness)… time passes so fast just like that and surprise no. 2 almost turned to be a bad one too ’cause the Island Creamery closes at 9.30pm! That’s half an hour to rush and get the birthday cake that I ordered from that ice-cream shop, and off to somewhere less crowded where a little bit of privacy would be greatly appreciated.

Revers-O in cake form! That beats the ice-cream cone and tub hands lids down. Pheww!
And surprise no. 3 will never go wrong as I handed Babe her birthday present – practically the last one of the day – a top from Mooks.
So I basically held Babe’s hands into her (planned) last part of her big day. She knew nothing at all and all she had to do was to follow the flow, and enjoy it. But being the surpriser is so stressful! I wonder if I showed any wrinkles or a tight face when I’m with her.
I don’t think so lah hor. After all, I’m still 18 right?
So that was it – Babe’s 19th Birthday! But I think the series of surprises started all the way back from the morning, when her friends popped in a mini-birthday celebration in the midst of their project discussion. I think that’s super-duper sweet lah! Credit to you guys man… you got everything well planned out. =)

ps Shawn’s smile is soooooo damn classic. “I can’t smile lah! That’s the last time I’m gonna smile man!”

Day 2, last Tuesday, marks my 1st Year Anniversary with Babe. What a feat I have achieved! I mean… to live with an ass who does nothing but to be there when you need someone to cry on or to share a piece of happy news. Or be a perfect companion to walk around Singapore in search for better makan places. Or teach me what touch rugby is all about.
Isn’t all those a massive achievement? Well as they say, shit happens. :p
You can read the rest of the day here at Babe’s blog. Not that I’m lazy to type everything out but… I think the receipients’ point of view is more credible.
Btw, the second day marks the end of my Event Management crash course. Gee… planning surprises is not chicken feet, or any other kinds of feet, you know? Thank God everything fits in well. Thanks everyone who has gone to great lengths and through all the trouble into helping me plan these 2 events out.
I really mean everyone. You guys know who you are. If I say the names out ah, later Sandy come interrogate you ah. I’m doing a small favour here for you guys leh!
And Babe? Thanks for the scrapbook that you gave me. It was really sweet of you plus the depiction of our relationship using pictures and poems are just too meaningful for me. So much so that it brought me to tears.

What an ass to be contented with.

At the same time, I have been shortlisted as one of NDP 07’s Blog Battle Finalist! It was such an honour to be mentioned and selected amongst the many of NDP-knows-what. I was a bit skeptical when Faddy first broke the news to me but alas it turned to be delirious instead.
I never entered a national-level competition before and this being my first, no matter how small the impact is, still remains to be a great milestone for me to achieve.
So basically, I need votes. The prize for the top blog entry will be a Samsung mp3 player. BUT BUT BUT! If I happen to clinch the top blog entry, and YOU voted for me, YOU can stand a chance to get your hands on a Samsung mp3 player too! It’s a win-win situation, roger?
CLICK HERE TO VOTE FOR ME!
But with that being said, go on and vote for the one you think deserves the prize and acknowledgment the most! I’m not particularly after the mp3 player but if I get it, then good lah! I’m just happy to be selected. Alhamdulillah!

That’s it for the action-packed-first-half of the week so far. Make full use of tomorrow’s Vesak Day yeah! Go spend some quality time with your family, friends or drop by the IT Fair 2007 which is happening over at Suntec City.
Soon Friday will come and hey, Friday is the best (week)day of the week right! The rest they say… is history.
Did they?
