Tonight I am suppose to be seeing Tristan Prettyman ‘LIVE’. In flesh. With my own eyes. In fact, it could have happened right now. Instead, I’m just consoling myself by listening to her songs on my PC. Arisya had one spare ticket but I guess I couldn’t grab it for myself, and myself only.

I can just imagine her saying to me, “Oh you should’ve been here. It was great!” after the concert.

I was bored to death today that I accompanied my sister to the library ’cause she wants her dosage of ‘Princess Diaries’. But we couldn’t get hold of any and she settled for another author. Somehow I am not surprised that she has finished reading the book. At first she started reading books before she sleeps (similar to how Mr Bean counted sheeps before dozing off). Slowly, that ‘bad’ habit has become such an obsession for her that she started digging into Enid Blyton’s and Meg Cabot’s.

WHICH CB KIA INCREASED THE PRICE OF BUBBLE TEA TO $1.50?!?!? DO YOU REALIZE THE MAGNITUDE OF THE REPERCUSSIONS OF YOUR INGENIOUS ACT?

But her Malay damn shitty lah! My mum told my sis that she wanted Mi Basah or something for dinner. That clever sis of mine went on to direct-translate it to ‘Wet Mee’ and told me to buy that at Banquet. I had no idea what dish that was but trusted my sis ’cause she knew where the stall was.

So I stood in front of the hawker who was providing me a list of dishes that he could cook up like as if the menu wasn’t readable at all. And I confidently went “Mi basah satu cik!” Somehow, the sudden change of expression on the hawker’s face told me that I said the wrong thing.

“OHHH!!! Mi goreng basah eh? Ada, ada… nak taruk ayam tak? Mana ada mi basah kat sini?”

Shit HAS to happen. To my left, my sis was already giggling at me. My front was the worst view of all – the hawker was smiling sheepishly at me. Looking back towards the wall, though seemed to be the best option, will only make me look stupid. So down it was.

Sidetracked – I got a momentary loss of words when saw I eyecandy#3 at AMK library. I thought she stays at Bishan? Aiyah Wantong, you know the whole story lah hor. That uber chic look. Haha! I like the phrase ‘uber chic’. Sounds uber cool.

A quick shoutout to Pohying – I’ve been in your position before minus a few siblings of course but I was there at a much younger age. I don’t know if that’s good or bad. Either way the situation that you’re in is sticky and of course it sucks like hell (no, not straw Pohying.) I know I’ve said this countless times but it was what I had done and it helped me get to where I am now.
